Neutral Wireless yesterday attended the Irish National Ploughing championships — an event that attracts close to 300,000 visitors a year. In an Irish first, footage from the Ploughing was aired live using a private 5G network and a low earth orbit satellite.

Yesterday’s RTÉ One lunchtime weather was facilitated by a NW private 5G Network

With our Lomond Network-In-a-Box solution operating with a Starlink backhaul, we were able to provide private band 78 connectivity to the on-site RTÉ weather team, facilitating the live broadcast of the lunchtime weather to the rest of the country.

Our network interfaced with LU300 and LU800 encoders provided by LiveU, with whom we were recently able to achieve live 4k-over-5G transmission at IBC 2022.
