5G/6G and RF Spectrum Consultancy Services

Neutral Wireless provides expert consultancy in 5G network design, RF simulation and coverage modelling, and spectrum policy and regulatory strategy. Our multi-award-winning team combines PhD-calibre researchers with decades of engineering experience, including at Tier 1 mobile operators in the UK, US, and Japan.

Expert Consultancy

Independent Advice from Real Private 5G Engineers

Our consultancy is grounded in our history of hands-on delivery. The engineers who advise you are the same engineers who design and deploy our private 5G systems – a team that has worked together for over a decade, in close partnership with the University of Strathclyde and StrathSDR. We provide practical, evidence-led advice across the full project lifecycle: from feasibility studies and RF simulation, through spectrum licensing and regulatory strategy, to deployment, optimisation, and training.

Network Design

5G Network Design & Deployment

We design private 4G and 5G networks end-to-end — from requirements capture and feasibility through to architecture, equipment selection, and on-the-ground commissioning. Whether you need a rapid pop-up network for a single event or a permanent multi-cell enterprise system, our designs are built around your coverage, capacity, latency, and integration requirements, not pulled from a template.

  • Feasibility studies, requirements capture, and site surveys
  • Coverage and capacity dimensioning for your use case
  • Deployment support, commissioning, optimisation, and training
  • Case studies for Private 5G deployments in target market verticals
RF Engineering

RF Simulations & Coverage Modelling

Predictive RF modelling de-risks a deployment before any hardware arrives on site. We run propagation and coverage simulations, interference and coexistence analysis, and antenna selection studies — and because we also deploy and measure real networks, our models are validated against real-world RF channel surveys rather than left as theory.

  • Propagation modelling and coverage simulation for candidate sites
  • Interference and coexistence analysis with incumbent users
  • RF channel surveys, spectrum monitoring, and measurement campaigns
  • Antenna pattern selection and link budget analysis
Spectrum & Regulation

Spectrum Policy & Regulatory Advice

There is no show without spectrum. Though, unfortunately, many find spectrum access to be the hardest part of a private network project. We guide organisations through licensing frameworks – including Ofcom’s Shared Access licences in the UK n77 band and equivalent schemes across the EU and beyond. Through CEPT and the European Commission, European regulators (such as ARCEP, ComReg, and others) have adopted shared, localised licensing for the upper n77 band (3.8 – 4.2 GHz), prioritising private 5G and local vertical applications over broad commercial coverage.

We advise regulators and policy makers on the practical implications of spectrum-sharing frameworks, based on our extensive experience of operating in shared bands at major live events, and with dynamic spectrum frameworks.

  • Shared Access and local licence applications and coordination
  • Band selection and spectrum strategy for your deployment
  • Interference coordination and regulatory compliance
  • Policy consultation responses, case studies, and regulator engagement
Case Studies

Proven on the World’s Biggest Stages

Our advice is grounded in real-world deployments, as well as a comprehensive understanding of the underlying theory. From live broadcast coverage of royal occasions and global sporting events to rural shared-spectrum connectivity, our consultancy draws on a proven track record of designing and operating private 5G networks where failure is not an option.

Live Broadcast

5G broadcast coverage of the King’s Coronation

For the Coronation of King Charles III, Neutral Wireless designed and deployed a multi-cell pop-up 5G network along the procession route in central London, providing wireless camera connectivity for live broadcast coverage watched around the world.

  • Multi-cell standalone 5G network in the Ofcom shared-access n77 band
  • Live-to-air wireless camera connectivity for leading broadcasters
  • KPI dashboards in the broadcast operations centre
  • Rapid rig and de-rig in a dense, high-security urban environment
